Frequently asked questions
Is delivery included?
Yes.
Delivery is free across the UK.
The current waiting list is between 5 - 15 working days.
I use a two man, ‘room of choice’ delivery service called BJS Ltd.
Once your mattress passes through quality control, I will instruct BJS who will then get in touch with you directly to make delivery arrangements for a day that best suits you.
The delivery will take place on the agreed delivery day between 7am – 9pm. On the day before you will receive a 3 hour time slot and a phone call half an hour before arrival.
**You will have the option to pay extra for specific hours to suit your schedule on the checkout page (i.e. AM only / PM only / Evening only / Weekend).
Can you take my old mattress?
The delivery company, BJS Ltd, can take away your old mattress and re-direct it to a responsible mattress recycling plant for £59.
This can be added at checkout.
What if I don’t like the feel of the mattress?
No problem at all.
If your new mattress just doesn’t feel right, my 30-Day-Sleep Trial allows you to change it for a different tension, or even a different model, that will suit you better up to 30 days after your delivery.
All I ask is that you keep it clean and sleep on it for at least 10 days to really allow your body adjust to a new mattress.
If you would like to change it for something else, please email me at hello@harrybenmore.com and I'll swap it over. No hassle.
Do you make mattresses cut to size?
I can custom make a bespoke size mattress for you. Please get in touch with your ideal size and I will reply swiftly with a quote.
How do I care for my new mattress?
Much like a good pair of shoes, a good mattress requires a little TLC now and then. For example:
1. Flip it over like a pancake and then rotate it head-to-toe 3-4 times per year.
*Hybrid models only require rotating*
2. Go over it thoroughly with the vacuum cleaner at least once a year.
3. Leave the windows open for a while when you change the sheets and let it breathe.
What are the exact measurements of each size option?
Below are the general sizes for beds in the UK. If you require a custom made size, please get in touch with your ideal sizes and I'll swiftly reply with a quote.
Please be aware due to the nature of the materials and fillings, there is a 1" tolerance on the mattresses:
- Standard Single - 3’0’’ x 6’3’’ (90cm x 190cm)
- Small Double - 4’0’’ x 6’3’’ (120cm x 190cm)
- Double - 4’6’’ x 6’3’’ (135cm x 190cm)
- King - 5’0’’ x 6’6’’ (150cm x 200cm)
- Super-King 6’0’’ x 6’6’’ (180cm x 200cm)
What if I change my mind altogether?
I'm sure you’ll be happy with you new mattress but if you do change your mind for whatever reason, no sweat.
You can return your new mattress for a full refund within 14 days of your delivery.
No hidden charges. No quibbles. No problem.
All I ask is that you keep it clean and email me at hello@harrybenmore.com as soon as possible and I'll arrange collection and a full refund. Easy.
Are the mattresses guaranteed?
They certainly are, yes.
Not the kind of ‘too good to be true’ type guarantee with empty promises and questionable small print.
All of my mattresses come with a no-nonsense 5-year guarantee.
This covers any manufacturing and material defects that have caused excessive dipping or collapse.
Settlement or body indentation of the surface is normal and expected, but dipping of the mattress to the point where you can feel the base below is not - in this case, any faulty mattress will be exchanged for a new one, no strings attached.
See the Terms & Conditions for further details.
My stairway is small, what if the mattress won’t fit?
If you are worried that your new mattress will be too big and won’t make it into the bedroom, get in touch for a chat first. You may need to have the mattress made in two halves ('zip & link').
Ideally, take a video of the access from your front door to the bedroom and send it to me via WhatsApp or by email at hello@harrybenmore.com.
I'll be in touch soon after with a solution.
No matter what happens, I will never leave you in the lurch with a huge mattress in your hallway – there is always a way.
